Manufacturers must first register with the Trade and Industry Department (TID) in respect of the products they produce before they are eligible to apply for Form AHK COs.

Under the Factory Registration system of the HKSAR Government, the Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) will conduct inspections on factories to process registration by TID. The manufacturers may then apply for Form AHK COs in respect of the products registered, and the issue of some certificates may be subject to verification by TID and/or consignment check by C&ED according to Government’s requirements.

Upon successful application, applicant will collect the certificate at the designated branch.

Under normal circumstances, traders are required to submit MC applications at least 2 clear working days before the exportation of shipment from Hong Kong.

Any Hong Kong company with a valid Hong Kong Business Registration (BR) Certificate is eligible to apply. Documentary requirements are as follows.

1. Completed and signed application form;
2. Original CO(Form AHK) or its certified true copy issued in the originating ASEAN country;
3. A copy of valid Business Registration Certificate;
4. Supplier invoice issued in the originating country;
5. Transport document (i.e. B/L or AWB); and
6. Documents the Chamber may deem necessary.

1. Collect application forms at any HKGCC certification branches or download the forms here.
2. Submit paper applications directly to certification branches .

Upon successful application, the applicant will provide the above documents required together with payments to collect the certificates at your designated branch.

3. By Cheque (payable to The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce)
